Queen Releasing Expanded ‘Live at the Bowl’
(Courtesy of http://ultimateclassicrock.com/) – There really isn’t much in the way of unreleased material in the Queen archives at this point, but fans hoping for an expanded edition of the band’s ‘Live at the Bowl’ album and concert film are in for a treat.
Eagle Rock has announced the impending release of a reissued ‘Queen on Fire – Live at the Bowl,’ adding an extra disc of bonus material to the original 25-song set, which was culled from a stop at U.K.’s Milton Keynes Bowl on the band’s 1982 tour. Due on May 21, the new ‘Live at the Bowl’ will also include interview footage, photos, and select performances from other shows on their ’82 concert schedule — adding up to more than three hours of material.
“We hadn’t seen the footage for years, but when we looked at it we couldn’t believe how good it was,” enthused drummer Roger Taylor in the press release that accompanied the news. “We were on fire.”
In addition to expanding the original set, which has been available since 2004, the reissued ‘Live at the Bowl’ offers what Eagle Rock is calling “extensively restored” audio and video. Have a look at the complete track listing below.
